miss kate ~ a simply sweet giveaway

I love giving away fabric. :)  It's one of my favourite things about being a blogger.  My darling friend from Simply Sweet Fabric is - once again - offering a lovely FQ bundle of fabric to one of you!

Miss Kate (designed by another sweet friend Camille over at Simplify, and her Mom at Cotton Way) is yet another fantastic fabric collection that has gained instant popularity in the quilting world and it is easy to see why ... the classic, fresh combination of red, aqua & white with enough pink to keep me happy.

I'm dying to cut into it. :)

I've done a lot with the beautiful red/aqua lately since I have two little granddaughters. I think my favorite of all time though is brown with a pale pink. You say you can't wait to cut into it. Cutting into it can be the hardest part for me sometimes, because I give away nearly everything I make. Thanks for the chance to win such a nice little stack of fat quarters.

This is such a FUN giveaway! Thank you. I adore everything Bonnie and Camille come up with, so major faves are the pink, red and aqua. But a VERY close second are the colors and combos of Joanna Figueroa. That more muted, creamy yellow undertone is so lovely. Her Somerset seems more like Bonnie and Camille's colors. Oh, it's so hard to pick just one combo.

There are many colours I love but i'm a real sucker for green (good thing that green matches nicely with blue, lilac, pink, brown; with quite a lot of colours actually). Not all sorts of green, mind you. And that's problematic because i'm the only one who knows which greens are right and which are wrong, even totally off. My mom, who like me, is a fervent quilter, has given up. She doesn't understand my criteria. And how could she when i myself don't know what they are. It's fortunate that i love most other colours too so that my mom can still make me happy with a surprise fat quarter every now and then. And i know she loves red so i can buy them for her too.

Color, color and more color! There are so many wonderful color combinations available that it's almost impossible to pick out specific favorites, but if you're going to pin me down and force me to state positively that yellow and red is my favorite color combo, then I will. I guess it's because they are bright and happy and make me feel good, but I have to tell you that the red and aqua fabrics that are so popular now, are running a very close second. They are very versatile colors and can be used in clothing, quilts, home decor and kitchen accessories, as well as flannel quilts and nighties for little girls and grown up grammas like me.
