The Unforgiven

Remember this back in April?

Yeah, I totally take back the "almost forgive" part and change it to "definitely do NOT forgive".

She killed our 3 year old Elm Tree.

Well, just the top half.  But the arborist says it will only grow sideways now and really should come out.

Sorry.

That was a beautiful tree! We live in frigid Mi,so we see a lot of that, can't mess with Mother Nature!

This will be our first winter in Calgary (well, Okotoks) and I'm afraid, very afraid! The stories I hear of last winter are just plain ole bad!

We've had two very bad winters, when we lost several plants and trees - either from the freezing cold, or from snow coming off the roof and trashinng them. If we have another bad winter, I am emigrating!!

Ahhh, that's a bummer. I'm a tree hugger. I love them so much and I know how expensive they are. I feel your tree pain. ;0

Ouch. Sorry. You know I feel your pain. At least the tree was only 3 years old and you'll be able to see a similar tree grow to that stage in your lifetime. I'll be long gone before we have trees that get as big as our lost ones!

Such a shame. Elm trees are so grand when they grow up!
