Daughter's Pride
May 3, 2011
If you were 9 & 3/4 years old, which recorder case would you prefer? This one (standard issue, grotty canvas) ...
... or this one (fashioned with a scrap from the last quilt your mom made and some pretty matching ribbon)?
Yeah, that's the one my daughter picked too. ;)
On days like today, I feel like a good mom. There's just something about knowing my daughter is proud of me that's ... well ... everything.
PS: Can't forget the other one! (Fairsies math ... )

Your fabric recorder bags are so pretty!! What lucky children you have!!
Awh, thanks. But I'm the lucky one. :)
My younger daughter has just started her first teaching position - Year 1 (6 yo in Australia) and on today's timetable is recorder lesson. If Jenni sees what you've made your girls, I think I'll be having to make one over the weekend. They are so pretty.
You're the GOOD Mom! Those are toooo cute!
you really are the good mum! I like the middle one. i never would have been given that! Mine was in the brown plastic thing it arrived in until it fell apart!
I made a polkadot one for my 10 year old this year (with a button, though, instead of a drawstring). It was such a hit that several of her friends placed their orders immediately...and now I have guilt that I haven't made one for each of them too! Maybe a birthday gift? Yours are gorgeous!
Cute! It makes me wish I played the recorder! :)
