Dear Mr. Policeman,

Thank you very much for giving me a warning instead of a ticket after I rolled through a Stop sign at the corner of my very quiet residential street.

Oh.  And also, thank you for that totally awesome adrenaline rush I got when you scared the crap out of me sounded your siren behind me.  That was just the pick-me-up I needed in the middle of the afternoon ... WAY more effective than a cup of tea.

Sincerely,

The mom who's gonna try really hard to not lose track of time while sewing and then be late picking up her daughter from school.

I'm fortunate that my children mostly walk home (apart from Friday) so they can slip in whilst I'm in mid project.

Wow you are so lucky! The cops in Riverside County are mean. They pull over so many people and give tickets like it's going out of style : ( They don't let anyone slide here......I drive like a 90 year old woman because I'm nervous they'll pull me over. Living close to the border doesn't help at all...they are suspicious of normal people just as much as "Un-Normal"! I can't wait to move!

Oops! It happens. You are lucky you got a good guy (gal?). Through the years, I've had nice ones (the local, suburban cops) and the aggressive-from-the-start (city cops)-- but I don't mean to "categorize" or "generalize"-- consider yourself lucky. You are human, and thankfully, the cop (s/he) recognized that. Hope you were productive in your quilting and you feel fulfilled! I do know what you mean about the "adrenaline rush" though.

Oh that is funny. Especially the adrenaline rush part.

I received a speeding ticket one day as I was zipping(not speeding!) back to work during lunch hour. When the very nice policewoman stated I was going over the speed limit(I swear I never had ever seen a sign), I seriously asked her, "REALLY?!!" She was nice enough to put my speed at 10 miles under what I really was doing. I am sure she saved me at least $100 right there.

blessings, jilly
