Farmer's Wife Quilt Along Week 7
July 11, 2011
Pink, Blue & Green
No special celebrations this week. Just summer garden colors!
#71 - Puss in the Corner
I fussy cut the flowers in the middle, remembering that the finished block will be set on point.
#8 - Bouquet
Ok, I had a little trouble with this one. The first time I made it my leaf and flower pieces were flipped around.
It doesn't LOOK wrong, unless you compare it with the second one I made ...
I know, I know ... I COULD have just kept it ... and I WOULD have, but the seam allowance was all messed up.
This is better. :)

Every time I see these little blocks, I am more and more tempted to put this on my project list! :)
So happy to have found your blog through flickr and the FWQA! What a beautiful place to visit.
I love your colors! And I so do love your wrong bouquet block it looks so pretty! PS: I´m still not a farmers wife;-)

Such an addictive project, this is! I've given in and made a start...and loved making my first two blocks! Thanks for inspiring me with your gorgeous blocks!
I adore the fabric combinations with the quilt block designs. Its a wonderful choice of fabric line. Look forward to viewing your progress. Happy Stitching, Susie
It's not a mistake, it's a variation! Your blocks are lovely; those colors are perfect for the season.
I love your blocks so much! Your quilt will be so beautiful.
gorgeous! love the pink and green! the bouquet block was a struggle for me...nothing seemed to fit together right so it took me awhile. yours came out fabulous!
love, love, love your colors and the blocks!!!!! You will have a very beautiful quilt~~
I'm not happy #8 gave you trouble... but really I am! Ok, not really really... but I'm relieved it's not just me who had trouble with #8. I did turn my flower pieces the way you did yours the first time - I liked that direction a bit better.
I was able to fix my block by redoing the bottom sides and the bottom of the basket triangle by making those pieces bigger. Saved me from having to redo the block again... and saving my poor window from possibly having my rotary cutter hurled through it!
Your blocks make me drool, Krystine. DROOL!
I suck. I DO know how to spell you name, Kristyne. My fingers not so smart. Blech.
Beautiful colours and fabrics. Great job again.
