lost & found

Remember this quilt I made last year?  It's become a family favourite.

And remember all those little scrap strips I had left over?

I started making a miniature quilt with them and managed to eke out a 12" x 15" slab.

Then I set it aside.

Then it got lost.

Under a big pile of stuff in my sewing room.

Well, the poor little thing finally got itself found the other day and it was perfect timing because I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

(I was so excited that I started cutting it up before I thought to take a photo to show you!)

You know how it goes around here ... I'll show you when it's finished. ;)

This makes me want to make a low-volume quilt, but I don't have low-volume fabrics in my stash. Lots of color, but no low-volume! So, I don't suppose you'd like it if I guessed your project to be a placemat, would you?! Haha! :)

This is beautiful! I'm surprised to see how well whites and creams play together. I'm gonna vote for a pillow, but I won't be surprised if this becomes a bag. But seriously - you managed to lose this? Glad you found it!
