If Life Gives You Lemons ...

or in this case, one block shy of a bonus row for a quilt

make lemonade

or in this case, an embroidered signature block!

I'm supposed to be doing this anyways, thanks to Hester's inspiration on this antique beauty I saw at Quilt Market last year.

Hope life doesn't serve you any lemons this weekend.  But if it does, just remember that lemonade is ... well, it's delicious.

Cheers!

Is that your handwriting or a particular font you used? I love the way it looks on your block. What a great solution. The quilt is beautiful, thanks for sharing.

That turned out beautifully! I really need to start doing signatures or labels or something on my quilts! I'm just not great at remembering, and, let's face it... I'm lazy and impatient. But I know I'd be happy with the results!

I love the embroidered block! Your quilt pattern is great, too. I really like the traditional quilt patterns with modern fabrics. I don't think I have the patience for so much little piecework yet, though!

I love your blocks, and I love Strawberry Fields so very much. I wish they would re-print that.

Love everything about this. I am interested in how you applied your info prior to embroidery. Please share or do a signature block tutorial. It would be well received!

Beautiful embroidered label! I've found that sometimes the best ideas come from a slight (or major) mishap and can be the beginning of more creativity!
Btw, love the idea of sharing a pot of tea ....and maybe a slice of cake and some sewing too??
Have a happy weekend, Kristyne.

Awesome! Just like everything you make. Two questions: Will you share the pattern? I have lots of Strawberry Fields left from the BOM I followed you doing and LOVE how you used your leftovers. Also, is that your printing or am I in luck and you can share which font you used. Love your creativity here. Wouldn't be nearly as special w/out that signature block. Okay, 3 questions. How big is the quilt?

I will always think of this as your Strawberry Lemonade quilt now. Just beautiful! And that perfectly embroidered block. Gorgeous! You're inspiring me with ways to use the leftovers from my Vintage Modern mystery BOM and to pull out my Strawberry Fields and make some more Farmer's Wife blocks and to do more embroidery and to make my blog prettier, and to take better photographs...........
You just inspire me all round really! Thanks for sharing your talents with us x

I do label all my quilts, but none of my labels are this gorgeous! And I've never put one on the front of the quilt. You're an inspiration! Please do tell us what font you used...or is that your actual handwriting? Beautiful!

I really have to say that your signature block could be a distraction from the rest of the quilt, as lovely as it is....those flying geese, your signature draws the eye. I can tell you have the caligraphic handwriting all the girls envy! lol ; )

I loved all the patterns you have posted but I think my favorite is "D" is for dress. My mother made me dresses like that when I was a child. Some were even out of printed feed sacks. I wish I still had them. Your book is very inviting.
