so. you think a gray house with white trim is boring?

(Inspiration house in my neighborhood.)

Well then let me try to change your mind by comparing these colours to a man's suit paired with a crisp white shirt.

For example, Exhibit A ...

and Exhibit B,

Exhibit Channing,

 Exhibit 007,

 Exhibit Wolverine

I could go on, you know.  But more examples would just be ... gratuitous.

ZZ Top was right on the money when they wrote this song.

And for the record, I had absolutely NO FUN AT ALL coming up with this compelling argument.

Just sayin'.

Out of curiosity, what color is your house?

I live in England and my house is pebble dashed so it is basically stone coloured with white windows and a white door but if my house looked like wolverine I wouldn't care what colour it was x

Absolutely NOT!! Grey is my favorite color!! For just about anything! Especially in my wardrobe! The grey house with whit trim is fantastic!!! And so are the suit examples!! Also, the delightful men wearing said grey suits!! I have heard it said, "a well tailored suit is to a woman what lingerie is to a man!" I could not agree more!

My house is gray with white trim and burgundy shutters and front door. This is my second house with the same colors...and when we redo the siding next year it will stay the same, except for maybe the shutters. They may go to navy to match the pillows on the rockers on my front porch.

I have always thought we had the same taste (as I love everything you do) and now I know it's true as our house is grey with white trim. We just did ours 2 years ago and I love it. It's a great backdrop for any colour in your flower bed.

Love it! Mine is charcoal gray with off white trim. My front door is a lovely black, and my hydreangas and pink roses pop! ZZ Top is always good for inspiration! I can't wait to see your house!

Gorgeous....and so are the colours!
I went through this process myself last summer, I wanted very very dark grey, almost black, with white trim and drove my family past several beautiful houses done like that. they all hated it !! So I went with choice no2 which is Robins egg blue with white trim and I do like it, but wish I'd been bolder !!

You made me giggle out loud...no, it was a real laugh...Love the paint colors. Could we get these at the paint store instead of the regular paint chips? have always loved gray and white houses. But, my current house is a pale, sea glass blue, with white shutters and door.
This song will be in my head the rest of the night. And, ZZtop, well, they must have spread out the family to the Duck Dynasty guys. I personally love guys with a smooth shaven face. Love your hexie design.

Who ever said that a gray house with white trim is boring. Some of the most beautiful houses that I know of are these very colors, especially on the East coast. I, myself am a midwestern girl who proudly lives in a gray house with white trim. Meanwhile, my neighbors live in boring tan, tan, tan. Just giving props to gray.
