a pinterest tutorial & a simply sweet giveaway

Pinterest.

I'm trying to remember life without it.

I can't.

Can you?

I found this Chinese pouch tutorial the other day ... I could not get to my sewing machine fast enough to start making it.

Here's how mine turned out.

Daughter #1 called dibbs on it already.  Guess I need to make another one.  Or two.  Or ... you know ... maybe about infinity more.

Wanna know where I got the pretty pink floral?  From this, adorable Etsy shop Simply Sweet Fabric.  Such a fantastic selection of tiny florals and pretty prints over there.

Floral Prints Fat Quarter Bundle of 8, Cosmo, Japanese

If you'd like chance to win this delicious bundle of 8 fat quarters leave me a comment stating which print/color above is your favourite.  Giveaway closes on Sunday, January 26th and I'll announce the winner shortly after.  (Promise I'll remember this time!)

Querida Kristyne,
Amo todos os seus trabalhos.
Esta bolsinha é muito meiga e todos os tecidos são lindos.
Gosto mais do floral com listas azul claro.
Estou programando uma visita por aí ano que vem.
Quem sabe não nos conheceremos!!

Beijo!

I love all of them and they would blend with my growing fabric stash beautifully. I'm loving the navy ones especially - I seem to be going through a dark blue phase at the minute.

My favourite is the one you used for your pouch, pink with little white daisies, so pretty and dainty. All the others are just as pretty though. I love your little pouch and I am not surprised that your daughter has already claimed it.

You've done it again, Kristyne! I love the little pouch you sewed, and you have a talent of choosing the perfect fabrics and embellishments.

Thank you for your blog and for having another generous giveaway. My favorite of these pretty little floral fabrics is the tiny pink flowers with pink/white pin-dot stripes. It looks just like ribbons : )

I love the little pouch! Not sure if I would have made it with out directions in English. Normally, I am drawn to pink fabrics but lately I have really been liking the aqua colors. So....I pick the one and only aqua stripey fabric in the bunch! Thanks!
January 21, 2014 | Unregistered Commenterwendy
Oooohhh, I love them all, but if I have to pick just one, it will be the white background with the pink flowers. Thanks for the tip on the shop with the tiny floral prints. I need some for a hexie project I'm working on. By the way, how is your hexie project coming along? You haven't blogged about it for a while.
January 21, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterJackie
Very cute pouch. I love the tiny flowers and sky blue stripes, but they are all sweet. I have a real weakness for the sweet Japanese fabrics (who doesn't)...just bought some today, but it sure is hard to find, esp. the vintage-y ones.
January 21, 2014 | Unregistered CommentertammyCA
Oh! Probably the pink daisy print!! I love anything pink!
January 21, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterPam
