tilda's fairytale wonderland

I've been a Tilda fan for a long time ... ever since a friend loaned me a copy of Sew Pretty Homestyle six years ago.  Do you know this book?  Do you own this book?  I love this book.  Tone Finnanger's newest publication, Fairytale Wonderland had me hooked the second I laid eyes on it.  This dreamy book is page after page of oh.so.beautiful eye candy.

And I adore her fabric too, which I didn't have until very recently when a sweet angel sent me some (thank you H! xoxo).

Now all I need is our new house to be finished so I can decorate it with Tilda projects made from Tilda fabric. :)

I love Tilda, I have just made a little tote for my daughter using fabrics from the newest collections. If you would like to take a peek, you can see it here http://alittlehappyplace.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/ta-dah.html My favourite project in the Fairytale book is the Princess and Pea wallhanging...isn't it the sweetest thing ever!!! I love that book. I am trying to work up the courage to make the adorable little animals. So sweet!

Oh how I love Tilda and her books!! I have 4 of them and I enjoy them so much. Just looking at the eye candy makes my heart smile. They are my go-to books for decorating and gift giving ideas. I haven't had the privilege of using her fabrics, (they are gorgeous) and I'm still happy with what I've made, her designs are just too cute. Do have fun creating for your new home, can't wait to see what you make.

Thanks for posting about this book. Never heard of any of these before. I went online and made a purchase to get mine in a week or so. Love that it is based on the different fairytales and can't wait to see all the projects inside. Something to share with my daughter I think.

Do you know that there's a special edition called 'Mit Tilda durch das Jahr' (Through the year with Tilda)? I don't know if it's also available in english or just a german edition but it's a collection from several books. My favorite book btw is the first one (here it was Sew Pretty Homestyle) although the cat doesn't look like a cat at all;-) But my favorite Tilda's are the angels and the snail. Will you make one?
Have a great weekend, Hildy

I love Tilda's style too, and while I have about 5 of her books (have you seen Tilda's Seaside Ideas? Love the whales...with barnacles!), I have never owned any of her fabrics. Hope that changes in the future!

I should have waited about 5 minutes to comment above because I just brought in my mail, and there was the Little Blessings Pink Ribbon kit! Thank you so much again! :-)

I stumbled upon Tone and Tilda on Pinterest. I LOVE her books - all of them. A friend and I are seriously thinking about making next year "The Year of Tilda" and work our way through her books with all that fun. Enjoy your time drooling and deciding - it will be fun.

What a happy coincidence! I just posted about a Tilda ironing board cover I made! It's such beautiful, high quality fabric - so lovely to sew with :)

I love Tilda too! I have only made a couple of projects though I have a LOT of Tone's books:

Hello! I'm a huge fan of Tone Finnanger's work and. i could say that I only or mostly work with her fabrics. I made a couple of projects included in this book and you can see them on my blog http://prettyhandmadebcn.blogspot.com.es if you happen to have some time! I made a project out of the miniature dolls and also a Pinocchio for my aunt (and I'm making another one for my baby as I just found out that I'm pregnant!). Let me tell you that two books more have been launched since this one and the titles are Tilda's spring ideas (Spring 2012) and Tilda's winter delights (Christmas 2013). Unfortunatelly, Tone didn't launch a book when she released her newest fabric collections "All that is spring" and "Summer fair" last February. I can't wait to see your Tilda projects! I'm sure you'll make something pretty and delucate as always! Best regards from Barcelona in Spain.

I adore Tilda too and am currently doing the stitching on 'Simply Blessed' by Rosalie Quinlan with Tildas corner shop fabrics. I adore all the fabric ranges.

Of course I have some Tilda books! Yikes, so cute. And of course you make everything so extra lovely. Will the house be done soon? (did you read and insert maniacal laughter?) I think these things take way more time than we ever expect. Unfortunately.

Oh, goodness. Every single time I come and visit, I end up adding projects to my eternal Sewing To-Do list! Didn't know about Tilda, but I'll be finding out today! :)

I love Tilda, too! I've been thinking for a long enough what to make with Tilda fabrics that I purchased several weeks ago. You will be the first one to know what I made with them!
See my pinterest for Tilda collection :-) http://www.pinterest.com/cottonflower11/tilda/
