What would you say?  I've run out of ways to express my feelings about this winter that just won't quit.

Poor you!!! I totally understand that you're sick of this would feel the same. Fortunately winter here is long gone but it's rainy and cold. And still no mail from Canada I'm sorry!
Still, have a great weekend one day there'll be summer again (I hope)!

OH NO!! May 5th, 1997 we were living on an acreage in central Alberta and it snowed that same kind of wet, heavy snow as in your pictures. Yes, I remember the date because hubby was away on NATO peacemaking duty in Bosnia. The snow was so heavy it broke all sorts of branches off of trees. We had already plowed our garden ready to plant and when the snow melted it was under water for a least a month. So I do feel your pain.
Ugh. Not a pretty May sight. Here's hoping it melts quickly and the sun shines soon!

Been there; done that. That's why we moved to southern Ontario!

I feel for you and your freezin cold feet! Sew everytime you get a chance. That will improve your mood. Stay warm, Miss K! Stay warm!

Oh heavens that's disheartening! I'm near Toronto - I'm not 100% convinced we won't get more snow, but I'm hoping we won't. I remember getting snow during the long weekend in May 15 or 20 years ago - that was crappy, but it wasn't a major snowfall like yours! I agree with Patty - UNCLE!!

What a bad surprise. Here in southwestern Ontario it's rainy and cold. Still need to wear my winter coat to walk the dog. But no snow in sight, and I'm keeping my (mittened) fingers crossed that there won't be any. I do hope we all get some much-needed spring, and soon.

This is just not right. You need to move to the west coast. It's a bit grey today with some sun and some rain, but at least the flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, and the temperature is somewhat warm. Snow in May is just not right.

I just read a great quote... "May is God's apology for February." Maybe you'll have to change that to JUNE!

I read about the snow (the new 4-letter word) in south Alberta ...poor souls. You were the first in the country to receive the white stuff last fall and I sure hope you are the last this spring! So far, we've just had heaps of icky humid rain. Really bad for my joints as snow is actually easier.
A number of years ago, I was on a conference net chat with Australia, Denmark, New York and Montreal. It was the 30th of April and we received 48 bleeping cms of snow that day. It seemed all I got to say was, " it's still snowing..."
I feel your pain !

Yes my Aussie niece had used a few expletives to express her views. She has decided that the seasons are wrong. July is spring, Aug Sept summer, Oct Autumn and the rest is winter. Hope next year will be better as we are coming early January for her wedding.

Ohmeohmy! It's still cold, windy and raining here, but now I am grateful that we are not shoveling our "rain"! Sending you warm hugs, and what a great excuse to stay holed up in your sewing room for the day!

just don't send it to N Colorado....we have had enough!!! May 1, 2013... we moved here, it was snowing...today May 3, 2014 we hit 80 degrees.....

8 consecutive months of snow.

I realize you're in Canada and all but...it's difficult to deny global warming and what it's doing to "traditional" (or "historical" or what you will) weather patterns when one sees this kind of snow in May! Here in the Wilamette Valley of western Oregon we had a couple of 80-plus-degree days this past week but today it's back to our typical grey velvet days and drizzle. It's even been chilly in San Diego, where a good friend of mine lives, although now he's complaining of the heat again. Close your drapes and go making something pretty...it MIGHT help!

Yuk! We (in East Tennessee) had 68 degrees, the flowers are in bloom, the sky is blue and I took a nap in my hammock this afternoon under the walnut and redbud trees. Blessings, gal! May your creativity warm your heart and inspire more pretties for you to share with us! You are an inspiration to me!

Oh No! that is terible! What is this weather coming to, winter and 4th of July? You have al lof my sympathy. Our winter here in M8i was the worst ever, we set records. I am speechless seeing this.

Oh I'm so very sorry! I wish for you sunny skies, warm breezes and more pink roses than you can pick.....soon!

So very sorry, Kristyne...I'm in Michigan and anxiously awaiting sunshine, warmer temps and leaves on trees! So very grateful for no more snow.
May 3, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterJennifer B
I am sorry! That is no fun at all. On the bright side, you have more time to stay indoors and sew. Around my house, once it warms up, there is so much to do outside that sewing comes to a halt. Hopefully it warms up soon :)

Here in Dallas, the temperature today was in the 80s, with lots of wind, and Dad ended up with a wildfire at the back of his property. (No serious damage; we got most of it put out by the time the fire dept. arrived--but the deer weren't thrilled.)

Does it help if I mention how pretty a scene you get to look at, or are you beyond that by now? ;)

Ooooohhhh! Snow!!!!!!!! I know you're sick of it, but I wish we had the winter you've had - we're in the middle of a drought (yuck!) and everything is so dry that the big pine trees are really starting to show it and I'm really worried about the fire season. My fingers are crossed (toes too!!) that next winter we can swap winters with some of the folks that have had too much of this white stuff ;o) Good day for sewing though! Your trees look so darn pretty!!

While I like snow, I can't say I envy you for having it in May. I'm in Belgium and we've been enjoying an exceptionally mild winter. Marigolds bloomed all through winter, so I had them in the spring garden, next to the daffodils. Very weird, and somethings that I've never known to happen before here. We had spring start in March and now we're in late spring/early summer. i can only wish you courage!
May 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterSara
Perhaps a llllooonnngggggg summer???? maybe??
May 4, 2014 | Unregistered Commentermichelle
Here in my part of Sydney you don't get this we have to head down to the Snowy Mountains or maybe if lucky the Blue Moutains, , and as we are heading I to winter, I have used one of your lovely photos as wallpaper on my iPad to remind of how other countries see winter if that is OK ...
May 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterElizabeth
Hi Kristyne, I am sure the continued cold weather and snow must be feeling very tedious and frustrating for you - but here in a part of Australia where we get very little snow, the photos are beautiful. Makes me wish we did get snow here! I hope for you it does quit soon though! Have a lovely day x

Oh thank god I don't live in Canada anymore... and that sucks A.

:( You know what, K? I can finally say that I understand. No, I'm still not a Snow Hater, BUT you were right...when winter is over, quit snowing!!! Everyone here is holding their breath, hoping the snow is gone for the season, but you never really know, do you?! *hugs*
OMG! What a weather! Here in California, full bloosom passed and now the fruits are getting larger everyday. Birds are singing and sun is shining brightly.
I hope you will get the beautiful spring season soon.
May 5, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterKeiko
We have snow in the forecast here in Newfounland overnight and into tomorrow. Just when the snow in the backyard was finally down to one tiny patch too. Spring, where are you?
May 5, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterLeanne
I feel like asking if you have a yard of that winter white fleece in your shop, but it's on the trees. How awfully beautiful, snow in May. Me? 84 degrees in winter!
