quilted bags & gifts ~ a giveaway

I'm really happy about this news.  Akemi Shibata's book is finally available in English and I happen to have a spare copy to give away.  Zakkaworkshop kindly asked me to help as one of the English editors and I'm really proud to have been involved in bringing this lovely book to the English-speaking part of the world.  It has so many beautiful and fun projects.  I've already made two (including the coolest bag I've ever made ;) and I plan to make more cute things.

Ok.  To enter this giveaway, just leave a comment here stating your favourite season. That's it!

Happy Sunday, all!

xo k

PS:  Zakkaworkshop - along with selling the book in their online shop - will also be selling all the cool hardware that is used in this book.  I'll let you know when!

Living in the northeast US, I really love each season! But if I have to pick a day, maybe a lovely summer day...picnics, swimming, BBQ, warm sunshine on my skin. โ›ฑโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿฆ

right now any season where I can get up out of bed and take care of myself is a great season. I love spring. everything is so fresh and clean. the grass is starting to turn green and there is the lovely dew giving it a beautiful sheen. the flowers are poking their little heads thru the dirt saying its our turn to put on a beautiful show for you. much like the one bag that has the beautiful tulips on it. trees are starting to show their canopy and say don't worry we'll give you some shade from that hot sun of the summer. you can open the windows and let the cool fresh breeze come thru the house and air it out. and then you hear the gleeful voices of the children playing outside. because they were all stuck in the house during the winter and couldn't run around as much outside with their bicycles. so for me, the best season is spring. also, thank you for the opportunity to win a wonderful book.

I love Winter.

My gardens are sleeping and storing up their energy for their gorgeous spring display which means there's nothing to do outside and I have hours of free time.

I can spend the winter hibernating in my creating space, making all the pretty things I've been admiring and stashing for over the summer and autumn, getting set for a spring of fabric creations when the sun & warm weather returns and I can display all my makes.
