auction #36 ~ typewriter illustration tote

It is almost physically painful for me to sell this lovely tote.  This was my first project using sewing illustration that I learned from my sweet friend Minki's book.  I love everything about it.  But I need to be perfectly honest with myself, and ruthless with my sewing room organizing.  I know I will never use it.  I can't.  It's too pretty!  But it just feels so wrong to keep it in a box or a cupboard doing nothing.  It really should be used and enjoyed by someone.  I hope that someone is you. xo

I thought I would use it.  I used all my absolute favourite silver and taupe japanese prints.  I meant to use it.  But I don't.  Sigh.  Maybe you will use it? :)  (I inserted a piece of kraft-tex in the bottom to keep it from sagging.)

auction #34 ~ mrs. march quilt market tote

Lecien commissioned me to design and make this tote for Quilt Market Spring 2016 to promote the latest Mrs. March collection.  I love making things to show off an entire collection.  This was a really fun project for me.  I had two patchwork designs in mind and I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I used both ... one on the front and one on the back (it's up to you to decide which is which).  Plus I got to use small pieces. ;)  The handles are faux leather.

Well.  In my opinion this is THE perfect gift.  It's pretty, it's in Christmas colours but it's not "Christmas-y", it's useful, it's practical, it's THREE gifts in ONE ... can't get any better than that. :)  I made this as a prototype for my Amy's Pretty Pockets pattern.

Sizes:  Large = 10.25" x 7", medium = 8.5" x 5.5", small = 6.25" x 4"

auction #32 ~ epp iPad mini zippered case II

Here's the second version of the iPad case I designed for Love Patchwork & Quilting that they liked.  I used Lecien's Minny Muu.  So cute.  I love all those little prints.  And the grey solid give it a more modern edge.  The patchwork is all hand-pieced and hand quilted.

This is another prototype for Love Patchwork & Quilting.  I made this version first because I love the bows print.  But then I realized that there wasn't enough contrast between the two fabrics for a magazine photo (below is the actual magazine pix).  But of course it's MY personal favourite of the three ...  (Please note that this one does NOT have pompoms.)

Sigh.  I love this little thing.  Everything about her is perfect - tiny pink flowers, a bit of gingham, linen, embroidery, hexagons, small pieces ... AND she's useful!  Why am I selling her?  Because she's not fulfilling her destiny here.  She's just sitting on a shelf.  She needs to be appreciated properly. ;)
