Note to Self #4
April 19, 2011
CENSOR the lyrics of a song that gets stuck in your head after listening to a 90s radio station - like “You’re Makin’ Me High” by Toni Braxton - before absentmindedly singing it in the kitchen while preparing lunch for your daughters.
I don’t know all the words, but apparently know the first seven lines well enough to confuse the heck out of my 9 year old … !

lol!!
i remember being in a clothes shop when i was about 10.. with my mum, gran and dad.. and the radio came on...
"Lets talk about sex baaaaybeeee, lets talk about you and mee"
i wanted to die right there and then. i just walked out lol and so did my dad and we sat on a bench in silence
I have so been there! I was hiking Dead Horse Point with my MIL and singing Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy. Such a catchy tune but I'd never thought of the words. My MIL pointed it out to me--SO EMBARRASSING!
I don't know the words to this one - I will need to google it!
I've just googled it - yes, not one to sing in front of the children!!
That's so funny! Kind of like that song back in the 70's -" I want to touch you all Over" - I mean really, come on, subtly wasn't a strong suit back then!!! Ewww.....gross but so catchy...I remember humming and singing it at ice skating lessons - very inappropriate for an 8 year old no? ; )
Oh wait I think the song was "I want to KISS you all over" not "touch"...but still....
