Farmer's Wife Quilt Along Week 17
September 20, 2011
Red, White & Pink
#54 - Kitchen Woodbox
I'm trying very hard to resist the urge to put a fussy cut flower in the middle of every "square-in-the-middle" block. But right now I'm kinda thinking this one might need a little "su'mm su'mm".
(That was my totally lame attempt at saying "something something" gangsta style. When am I going to learn that I should just stick to my middle-aged haus frau vocabulary? Hmmmm ... NEVER! Being silly is too much fun.
My husband says I'm the funniest person I know. Well, I wouldn't go THAT far. There are plenty of people who are WAY funnier than me. But I do make myself laugh. :)
#17 - Cats & Mice
Kinda white. But I like it.

oh, my! camille was so right -- what a lovely blog. and your projects - quilt (and stash) envy at its finest! you're the "new" first on my favourites list.
Again beautiful blocks! Love your colors they're making me smile. Although I never understand why this block is called cats&mice. Do you know, gansta girl;-)

i love your fabrics so much. Ive no idea what to make with my stash which appears to be growing by the day. I think i need an intervention :p
Fabulous blocks ..... now that I have the book, I am will have to start making some blocks!!
Kristyne,
I am a newbie to your blog and I am finding it delightful and charming and inspirational! What fabric line are you using in your Farmers Wife blocks?
Thank you for sharing!
Oops... Just read your FWQAL from the start and saw you were using Flower Sugar. Your blocks are stunning... Do you starch your fabric before cutting?
Lovin the RED!!!! and the pink and the white, of course! But the RED is so gorgeous! Try sayin that in "gangsta" LOL
How does your woodbox block look next to all the others? That little white space may be just perfect!
I've been trying to resist the FWQA and....I think that just might be futile when I see such pretty blocks like yours!
I 've read your blog before & really enjoy your sense of humor. My Mother used to always say that "she really tickled herself sometimes". She had a quirky sense of humor, too that fortunately my sisters & I inherited.
Very pretty!
Love Love Love the Cat & mouse one....probably because of the white ;-)
Yep. They're just dreamy! So fun to see you over on Camille's blog!!! :)
Gorgeous! And I loved Camille's post about you today. Keep the inspiration coming.
Beautiful, as always. No better combination would be possible than Camille and Kristyne. You both do such awesome work and are both so inspiring.
Blessings to you.
so cute! i really love the cat and mice one....with all the white it really pops...i think i'll do that on mine when i do that one. :)
I love your Farmer's Wife Blocks! You are really making me want to do this quilt. I know I don't have the time, but...goodness my me...when the blocks are THAT beautiful...who cares!
Love your blog, found it this week from simplify. I really need her book now too...
I LOVE the look of your FW blocks! Are you using a certain line of fabric or are you just that good at putting things together? They are absolutely too lovely and sooo perfect! I am new to reading your blog and am enjoying it so much! Thanks for writing!

Found your blog via Camille's site. Beautiful and funny. But, when your husband says you are funny does he mean 'funny ha ha" or "funny strange'? My husband means the latter for me.
you make me laugh too. so there!
your sewing is very neat and your pictures are always so sharp and well styled. le sigh Can you knit too?
