Daisychain Sampler "M"
January 11, 2012
As in James Bond's boss.
Or half of the candy that melts in your mouth, not in your hands.
Or my daugher's middle initial.
Or just plain old "Mmmmmmmmmmmm", which is exactly how I feel about this color (again!).
You know, I really like the chain stitch ... once I figured out how to not pull too tightly so my links would stay nice and round!
It's another one of those cool texture stitches. I've used it as a purse handle, a skipping rope, a chain for a pocket watch, octopus tentacles ... it's super versatile.

You're really moving along on this one now! Another lovely letter.
Love it! Can't wait to see all the letters done. I'm sure I'll have to start one myself... ;p
M ... as magic!

Making M look aMazing.
What is your background fabric. I totally love it. Your work is equisite. I am hoping to start mine soon. I bought your pattern before Christmas and ready to get going, but I want to find a similar backbround. It adds alot to the prettiness.

Love the stitches and that color!!! This wil be a true masterpiece!!! Your work is perfection! Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece with us.
Each letter is more beautiful than the last! I wish I could stitch like you do! I cross stitch but embroidery has not been something I have practiced at. Keep up the beautiful work. K-
I have sorted out my background fabric and printed off the pattern...I will be going over your previous posts to get some advice (but I don't think I will be taking close up pictures!) x
Mmmmmmm it's looking amazing.
Hey, you're halfway through the alphabet already! It looks great! You do beautiful work and the I love the variety of stitches that you do. Makes me want to get working on a quilt pattern that I bought that has embroidery in some of the blocks...or maybe I should finish my UFO's first!!
I've been stitching along with you, waiting to see how you handle each letter. Mine aren't as pretty as yours, but still good for me. When I saw your "M" today, I found myself going "aaahhh". It is SEW BEAUTIFUL... BTW, my middle name is Mae, too!
Hi Kristyne,
I am loving this Daisychain Sampler and I would to try it myself but I am not sure how you get the dots onto the fabric. Would you be able to do a post or leave a comment on how you do it?
Thanks so much, I love following your blog!
Noortje.
M is marvellous! I missed J...off to find it!
Magnificent! I am really loving this and know I'll be pulling the trigger to start my own soon. I can't stand how incredibly sweet it it! Great job!
Hi Kristyne, I've been reading your posts on the Daisy Chain sampler since you started it and I am so hooked! I'm ready to get my copy of the pattern and prefer your floss choices over the crewel wool. Would you have an easily sharable list of the Cosmo floss numbers you chose (and would you mind sharing if you do?). I can't wait to get started on this embroidery!
Okay, I feel silly now. I just went back to read your older posts on the Daisy Chain and saw yu gave the floss colors already. Thanks! And sorry! I'm very excited to start this project!
This piece is beautiful! Thank you for sharing it! I am also curious about how you trace your letters (I.e.how do u get the dots in the right place on your fabric). Would be grateful for insight on this. Thank you!!!
