Communication 101 ... For Moms
February 17, 2012
If your 8 year old requests macaroni & cheese for dinner and you go to the grocery store with her after school to get the ingredients and you're not sure how much milk is in the fridge so you ask her and she tells you there's LOTS, make sure she knows you mean WHITE milk, not CHOCOLATE.
'Cause even hardcore chocoholics have to draw the line somewhere ... right?

I have a friend who would probably eat it!!
I always just use extra butter when I am out of milk and it seems to work. Or I do it the other way if I'm out of butter. Hopefully I'm never out of both at the same time.
To be fair, it's only chocolate milk that counts to an 8-year-old.
Chuckling!
lol, i'm impressed that your fridge had lots of chocolate milk...it wouldn't last long in my house! ;p
Too Funny!!!
lol.....lots... You didn't say what kind of milk, did you?
Better than reaching in and finding an empty milk carton, not that I would know anything like that. ;)
Laughing, ha, ha, ha! You so make me laugh! I need a pick- me- up today. Your blocks from yesterday were super pretty! Keep up the laughter, it is good for you- K-
hehe - yes, I would definitely draw the line there!
And if my son requested macaroni and cheese, it would be the kind that comes from a box. sigh.
Chocolate macaroni cheese sounds good to me!!
What's the problem???

HA! HA! It's not just the situation, you have a real gift for delivery!
Thanks for the laugh!
That is too funny!! I have a 9-yr old and a 4-yr old. As a back up, i always keep some of those extra milk boxes (like Parmalat brand) in the pantry shelves, in case we run out in the fridge-- they don't have to be refrigerated and they have a long shelf life.
Things at your house are always interesting! I hope you are scrapbooking that!! Loving your blocks as always!
LOL, I always keep some dry milk in the cupboard or freezer for baking/ cooking emergencies!
LOL.... oh this takes me back..... Happy weekend!
What's the problem? Milk chocolate maccharonis with cheese sounds good to me;-)

Ha ha!! Reading your post has been the perfect tonic to brighten up my day. Thank you!!
My friend Deb once used custard in mashed potato because she ran out of milk!
Oh, my.... this really made me laugh! Yup, this chocoholic draws a line right there! LOL... In addition to what others have said, having evaporated milk helps too. Good Luck!!!
LOL! Thanks, I needed that.
