persimmon & bordeaux

I know, I know.  More of my round pencil cases.  It's just that they are so fun for me to make.  And I really do prefer making gifts that are practical.

You may be a little surprised to see these decidedly non-shabby chic colours here in pinkaqualand.  But I tailor the colours to suit the recipients.

Besides, it's full-on Fall around here.  The ground is blanketed with layers of fallen leaves and I'm quite enjoying the warmth of these rich colours at the moment.  I even indulged myself last week with a very cozy, plum coloured, super-fine merino wool cardigan.

Happy weekend!

Well, you haven't quite crossed over to the dark side because I still see plenty of Liberty fabrics!

Do you have a tutorial out for those cute bags (I couldn't find one...but then...) or do you sell a pattern. The circular end is super cute and unusual...love it.
Thank you for a great blog and inspiration.

Gorgeous! If it wasn't for the fact that I already have brought this pattern, I'd most certainly be off to buy it after seeing these. Of course, I'm yet to make mine yet!

You should try more projects with these colors in them! I'm loving how the pink works with both the orange and with the burgundy making me think of berries and squash and pie. It freshens up the pale pink you like so much and is just to the right of center. Think of it as cranberry sauce, because you wouldn't want cranberry sauce that didn't have a bit of orange zest in it, right?
