Daisychain Sampler "V"

LOL!  V stands for VERY LONG TIME since I worked on this poor, neglected sampler!

It was a bit of an archeological dig to even find it buried under layers of Quilt Market sewing fabric & mending & ... stuff ... you know how it goes. ;)

ANYHOW, here's where I left off ... 3 months ago?  Yikes!

I used the same brown as U.

And that long/short stitch again that I love so much.  You just can't beat that texture!

The palest pink makes for a sweet little scallop trim.

And pale blue for the dots.

Reminds me of a nursery.

Which reminds me of my babies.

Which makes my ovaries ache.

Better move on to the next letter quick!

That might be my favorite letter so far. I was wondering when you would return to your sampler. Speaking of ovaries aching... did you see the adorable picture of Amy's new bundle at nanaCompany's blog? I think you follow her blog - right? Have a great day!

I love your V. I wish I loved to stitch the long/short stitch as much as I love to look at it. I also love the scallops. I am on X, skipped W cause it looks like WORK. I have posted my version of this on vjohnson1234 flickr embroider group if you would like to take a look at what you inspired.

I have learned many new stitches since I first saw you start. What great fun. You do amazing work. Thank you.

I love your sampler and am starting on mine tomorrow. I have read through all of your letters for all your tips. I reduced mine to 85% and ordered the same Cosmo floss. I love how much smoother it is than the DMC I have always used. I traced my letters today and am ready for my 14 trip tomorrow. I hope mine turns out half as good as yours. Thank you for the inspiration!
