liberty pretty

So.  I bought some new fabric.

Liberty Tana Lawns.

I couldn't help myself.

A friend told me about a cute Etsy shop - Alice Caroline - because I happened to mention that I wanted a few more tiny, cute floral prints for my hexagon quilt.

See?  Not my fault.

Just like my scissors.

I cannot be held accountable for my actions when it comes to beautiful sewing things.

Does that make me irresponsible?

Oh who cares.  I am what I am.

And what I am right now is someone who wants to make something ...

... with 2" squares. :)

PS:  Sorry.  I just realized that I went waaaaay overboard with "scissors-as-photo-props" today ... too much of a good thing and all that jazz.)

No complaints on the scissors, the props, the fabric from me! Just simply beautiful! Esp. the reds and pinks! :)

... no, you are sane and I will follow you. Lead on, McDuff!
BTW, I finished my 'Are We There Yet' never-ending quilt! I am pleased as punch with the results. All hand cut, designed (ha!) and odd sized (50x72) by moi. Must now remove cat so I can get a decent pic to send off.
New Anna Griffin fabric is on its way and I can't wait to play! Any simple quilt suggestions?

What a neat shop you found! Liberty prints are so pretty, but they are little too much to spend... Scrap collection might be the way to start... hmm...

First, there is no such thing as "too much" Liberty lawn. :-)

Second, you're making me waver and want to make my own hexie quilt. And I have a closet full of UFO's already!

Love me some liberty tana lawn. Watch out for when they pop up in sale at fabric.com. That's very hard to resist - and then you can buy something else with the money you save. That's smart thinking, that is! :-)

I love your scissors -- I have admired the pearl handled scissors since I saw them -- would you remind us again who makes them -- the holidays are coming and they may be on the top of my wish list -- thanks for the new shop too - it does help with hexies - small prints are hard to find #!}
