fresh figs giveaway

You all know Fig Tree Quilts, right?  Joanna has a way of putting a fresh, yet somehow timeless spin on traditional quilt designs.  Her latest batch of patterns is out.

I've got a sudden craving for Cherry Pie.

In pink, of course.

Or maybe red.

I do have a nice little stack of reds in my stash.

Hmmm.  I dunno.

Decisions, decisions.

How about you help me decide?

Ok, here's the deal.  If you leave me a comment telling me if I should make my Cherry Pie quilt with pink or red cherries, you will be entered to win ALL SEVEN of the patterns shown above.

Comments close on Monday 23rd and the winner will be announced Tuesday 24th.

Růžová je krásná. Ale pro tentokrát bych volila rudou barvu třešní.

September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKimmy
Red cherries, of course!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKiara
I think you should use red. It will be cuter !
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermarianne
.I am a huge fan of your blog and the fig tree patterns are lovely. Perhaps you could add both red and pink cherries to create a beautifully unique quilt. Thank you
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDora
I'd pick red. It'd really make the cherries pop. Then again, couldn't you do a mix of both?
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDee
you know, there are sweet pink, yellow, and juicy red cherries so good for eating. why don't you mix them all up? cool!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterrita
For you, pink is the obvious choice!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterEmily

New follower here and I love your blog! A red/pink mix would be beautiful. Go for it! Hmm, now you have me craving cherry pie.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSharon
Well, I was going to say red, cuz...you know...cherries are red. But then I looked, and there is such a thing as pink cherries. Royal Harvest Pink Blush maraschino cherries! cool! So, knowing how you love all things pink, I say go for the pink cherries. I do love Fig Tree patterns and have 2 of their fabric collections in my stash. Thank you for the opportunity!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJacque.
It wouldn't be "Kristyne" if it wasn't pink.

I like the red cherries. I love reading your beautiful blog and seeing all your pretties. I admire your creativity and talent. And I love everything about Fig Tree and Joanna. Thank You.

Oh I love the idea of both pink and red cherries. I love fig tree quilts. Just the pictures make me want to buy everything
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMichaela
I say mix them up! If it were up to me, I think I might make all pink cherries and throw in a red one, just to be a rebel. Or vice versa. But...wait! Never mind...now I understand your dilemma! :o)
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered Commentercarolyn
Hi! I think both red and pink too! Mix them up! There are really nice pink cherries you can get, I forget their name, but your co,our choices and piecing are beautiful! Thanks for the giveaway! I have a very, secret stash, of fig tree fabrics too!
Enjoy the process!
Take care, Leslie

I think you should do the cherries in pink to be different. Pink Rules ;-)
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLesley
Pink, Pink, Pink!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLynne Tilley
I have a vintage quilt using both, it is one of my favorites. I say go for both!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLouise
I think both would be wonderful -- some not quite ripe yet, and some deliciously red!!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCarol C.
I say both! Why not?

Oh definitely pink...but it would be ok to make a few red ones just to make it pop!!! Thank you for an awesome giveaway :) xx's

I guess I have to ask if you are a traditional girl who would want her cherries to mimick nature. If so then you would need to go with red or dark yellow, almost apricot (Rannier cherries, I do believe) hues. But if you are feeling a little more adventurous, pink is good. Of course you could always go total scrappy and mix it up with reds, yellows and pinks. OR... pick one set of colors (say reds) and add some pink cherry blossoms. The pink of the blossoms is more your color pink anyway!

So, who are you today, traditional girl or wild girl?????
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLee
Oh, go ahead and be wild.....I think pink cherries would be very pretty.
Love Fig Tree patterns, thank you for the chance to win.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMary C.
The pattern is so cute. I would have a really hard time choosing. I think a mix of red and pink would be lovely. Cherries in nature are not all the same color.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDeb H.
I think red cherries sound delightful.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMara
I know pink is your thing, and pink cherries would be darling. But maybe red cherries would be a nice field trip for a minute. Or maybe you could do pink AND red cherries!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterRachel
Use both pink and red!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJan S
I would go for red, dark purplish red, like the Bigarreau Noir, my favorite cherries.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSaartje
Red cherries are a classic! Lovely patterns :)
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterWens
Even though red is not my favourite colour I still think red. Maybe make a red one, then a pink on, then a mixed one and we will vote on that. ;)
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterColleen M
Seeing Fig Tree Quilts always makes me search for the pop of red, so red it is!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSusie Johnson
My choice would be the red cherries.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKelly
I just love the cherry pattern. I think red cherries, I'm feeling traditional with this pattern.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAnita
I think both would be a fantastic idea! Half the cherries can be red and the other half pink! Or, if you had to choose just one colour, I would have to say red. Even though I prefer pink over red, pink cherries just don't seem as desirable as those red ones!!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTiffany
When we lived in California, I loved the pink cherries that we got at the farmer's market and I have been following you since your start so I know you love pink. I think you can make a wonderful pink cherry quilt. Cherries come in so many scrumptious colors that you really have your choice. thanks for the give away. I love Joanna's quilts and I have a new granddaughter named Caroline so "Sweet Caroline" is on my list of upcoming quilts.

Red cherries - but with a couple of pink ones sprinkled around to represent you and your girls. So cute!!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKathy J.
You love all things pink. Live a little and go RED this time.
Take care,
Carole

RED cherries would be traditional but PINK would be fun! I vote for fun every time! Thanks for the chance to win!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDonna
