fresh figs giveaway

You all know Fig Tree Quilts, right?  Joanna has a way of putting a fresh, yet somehow timeless spin on traditional quilt designs.  Her latest batch of patterns is out.

I've got a sudden craving for Cherry Pie.

In pink, of course.

Or maybe red.

I do have a nice little stack of reds in my stash.

Hmmm.  I dunno.

Decisions, decisions.

How about you help me decide?

Ok, here's the deal.  If you leave me a comment telling me if I should make my Cherry Pie quilt with pink or red cherries, you will be entered to win ALL SEVEN of the patterns shown above.

Comments close on Monday 23rd and the winner will be announced Tuesday 24th.

Fond memories of my Mom's cherry pie, the new school dress she made for me with cherries on it.
Red Cherries, very sentimental...and yummy!

Oh, my! I'm all for coloring outside the lines, but I think my cherries would have to be... RED.

Red cherries! I spend as much of my summer as possible in beautiful Door County, WI, home to the wonderful, deep red cherries that make the county famous. I know you love pink, but red cherries are a delight! And thanks for the opportunity of participating in this giveaway!

I know you love pink...and so do I, but knowing how you care about things being "right", I suggest using ripe red cherries!

Red has my vote but how about a batik with pink (or red) and yellow to mimic a bing cherry! Just had to put it out there... :-)

September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDonna

What beautiful fabric. I say go with the red cherries. I love red
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterhildy
Oh, I believe that you should make the cherry pie quilt with the red cherries fabric!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCarolyn
How about making the cherries with a lovely rosy red? Isn't that cherry quilt darling?!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMargaret
Oh my goodness! I think the cherries have to be red. But then again some cherries hare partly white-ish, so they may look pink. What a dilemma! I see why you are asking for opinions. But I guess I'll stand by my cherry purist view and say the cherries have to be red.
Thanks for holding this giveaway. I love Joanna and her fabrics & patterns. Yummmmm!

Personally, I would go for the red cheeries... but hey, why not do both... that would be so uniquely you!!! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Red cherries!! Love Fig Tree!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterRebecca
I would say red, but a mix of pinks and reds might look best. Berries in various stages of being ripe.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMartha
I am a "traditionalist", so I would make the Cherry Pie Quilt with red cherries. The redder the better! This quilt is definately on my to do list of quilts for 2014.
Thanks,
Nettie

Hi Kristyne,

I've seen both red and pink cherries - I vote for both. What a fun collection. Can't wait to see your finished project :)
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered Commenteredith
No contest, pink!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTrish
You must do pink cherries to go with your beautiful opening picture. Everyone makes red cherry things! Plus, you could use those adorable pink scissors. You and Fig Tree are my favorite and most inspiring quilts.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterValerie Z
Can you mix them? ;o)
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBari Jo

I'm going to cover my bases and suggest faded red cherries. LOL
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLaura
I think that cherries are usually red...but there's always a few that aren't. Maybe you could do mostly red, with a few pink ones dispersed throughout. : ) Red and pink go together quite nicely!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKathleen
I think you should use both, it will look like there are some that are ripe and some that are not quite SWEET enough!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLisa McGriff
I would do them in several shades of red. It will be sew pretty.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterVicki H
I think red cherries would be wonderful. Maybe just a few in pink. Thank you for the chance to win.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJoanne
I think it would be beautiful using reds and pinks in a variety of shades. Thanks for the chance.
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterVicki H
Although pink is cheery, cherries should be red. Love the giveaway!
September 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLinda Halcomb
