fresh figs giveaway

You all know Fig Tree Quilts, right?  Joanna has a way of putting a fresh, yet somehow timeless spin on traditional quilt designs.  Her latest batch of patterns is out.

I've got a sudden craving for Cherry Pie.

In pink, of course.

Or maybe red.

I do have a nice little stack of reds in my stash.

Hmmm.  I dunno.

Decisions, decisions.

How about you help me decide?

Ok, here's the deal.  If you leave me a comment telling me if I should make my Cherry Pie quilt with pink or red cherries, you will be entered to win ALL SEVEN of the patterns shown above.

Comments close on Monday 23rd and the winner will be announced Tuesday 24th.

I love red and I love cherries (yum), but why not red and pink? That would look really pretty. Thank you for the nice give-a-way.

My first reaction is red - red cherries being so obvious. But I am on a "why not?" kick with color these days so will officially submit a recommendation for PINK!

Pink- show us how!
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLinda Cates
I vote pink!!!!!
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLynda
Both? If you don't want to mix them, make two! : )
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMNakata45
I think you should do red cherries with a couple pink thrown in!
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterstephanie
With that quilt, I think that you could go either way, but I know that you would choose a pinky red anyway and that is what I see in cherries. Although, there is that really cool color cherries that comes from somewhere that has that pinky-orange-y-yellow-y look to it. I love those colors. And, honestly, if you use the Fig Tree reds, they aren't that in your face red. Wow, it is like I am sitting in the same room with you having this discussion and I don't even think that I have answered the real question!!!! I say that you can do cherries in any color you want to!!!!!! Thank you, I need to go and rest now from settling the hardest question of of the morning!!!! Susan

I think red cherries are best! I love fig tree quilt patterns! :) Anyway good luck with your quilt!
Hugs, mickie

I think I would use both. I am a scrap quilter, so the more fabrics the more I like it. The variety of shades will give the quilt more depth.
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTeri
Definitely red cherries :-)

Your Cherry Pie project sounds delicious. How about a sweet red cherry pie with a pink lattice top? Mom always put a lattice top on her cherry pies, and the juice would bubble up over the crust and give it a pretty pink glaze...

What ever you decide, I'm sure it will be just perfect. Can't wait to see what you "cook up".

Best Wishes and Happy Stitching,
Granny B.

Why not both together? I am not typically a pink girl but I keep picturing both together.

I am all about PINK! ๐Ÿ’—
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJennifer B
I have a thing for pink and would use a soft green background. Then, because I have two daughters, as well, would make a second one using reds! Because when you are cutting out, it is so time-efficient to cut both sets at once, especially if you use the same backgrounds!

PS....I love Joanna's Lifesavers pattern! I'm thinking those LOVELY new Liberty prints you have would be perfect!

Thanks for the giveaway!

What about some of both?

Oh, what a great prize package! I would choose red, but....whatever color you choose will be absolutely stunning in the end. You have a way of turning everything you make into a gorgeous piece of art. I have seen the strawberry quilt done in pinks, awesome!

definitely red.....or pink. if you cant decide, what makes you think that any of us are any better at this sort of thing. we all struggle with decisions, big and small. i always envy those who can make a decision in a sanp , go with it and have no regrets. i will never be that person.

it will be beautiful any way you choose.
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered Commentersheila

Mix them both? I guess it depends on the shades you have, but I think a hot pink, bright red combo would be cute!

Gorgeous patterns!
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJenn
I think I'd like to see a nice blend of both colors ...some cherries would be riper than others. LOL
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCarole
I think Fig Tree patterns are gorgeous and like you mentioned a twist on traditional, but there are so many great reds out there perfect for that quilt!
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLindsay
For myself, I would pick red. But I think the pattern would be super cute using pink also. I think you should go with whatever color you have a "gut feeling" about, the color that every time you look at the finished quilt you know you'll be happy you did it in that color. Is that helpful? Clear as mud? Good, my work here is done! Thanks for the giveaway!
September 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterRae R

I like these simple patterns. I just bought Strawberry Social by the Pattern Basket and going to make with reds and pinks! Maybe we are both craving for simple cuties?
