Happy Camper
May 16, 2012
My little dresdan blades have gone from these ...
to these ...
to this ... (wheeeeeeeeeee! Yes, I totally squealed out loud when I pressed this little section together and flipped it over on my ironing board!!!)
(There may have also been clapping and jumping.)
And then this ...
Amy, if you were here right now I'd kiss you on the mouth! LOL!
Kidding.
Maybe. ;)
And now I'm moving on to the embroidery.
I am one SERIOUSLY happy camper right now!

Hi Kristyne,
I am sooo jealous of your stash! I don't know what I was doing in my life instead of buying wonderful material. But all I can say is shame on me."Shame, Shame, Shame". I know you have answered this question for others, but once again what size are the blades.
I am looking forward to seeing the end product.
Take care,
Carole Y.
I'm in love with it!
I'd have squealed and jumped up and down too!
Get this....cleaning out my stash ( seriously I have a HUGE problem) I find TWO stacks of Lecien fat quarters ( just like yours) that I bought about five years ago. Guess what I am going to do with them??? I am equally inspired by Amy...is she the cutest or WHAT????
I'm squeeling, jumping and clapping with you! Hildy
Squealing, clapping, and jumping...I swear we could be sisters! Hahaha! However, all that squealing, clapping, and jumping over this project is for good reason! It's SO beautiful!!! Those fabrics are amazing. :)
Clapping and jumping up and down with you! Way to go - I just love the soft colors you've chosen!
I'm squealing and jumping and holding my belly at the same time and getting kissed and... oh, I have to lay down now. K, once again, you crack me up. I can't wait to see the embroidery done in your hand 'cause I know you got skillz. xo amy
Oh.my.gosh . . . I can't wait!
Hello I am an evil lurker from the lovely province of quebec...I had to overcome my shyness and comment on your beautiful dresden plate. Everything you make is lovely but this is dear to my heart, my favourite quilt pattern, and I am trying to make a quilt with dresden plates at the moment. I'm always trying to see how other people make them!
here are some pictures of mine if you get a chance to take a peek, the pictures were taken at night so have little to recommend them except a very cute dog in the last one. But I wanted to share the dresden love!

Seriously, everything you make is too beautiful.
I would be too ... so unbelievably pretty. A whole quilt would be beautiful.
Your blog is always so lovely and soothing as well as inspirational. Thank-you.
LOVE it!! I've been wanting to try a dresden for a while now, so your project is really inspiring. it's going to be love-LY!!!
Absolutely darling. I loved it when Amy did it, and I am enjoying it all again with you. I know I won't have to wait long to see the finished project. I sure wish I could get that fabric.
Doesn,t Amy do delicate work?? Yours is lovely too
I can see why you are a "Happy Camper".I would be too if I could to gorgeous work like that

You make me want to go out and buy some flowery fabrics! So feminine, so special... Well, at least I think I will go do a dresden block and make a cushion cover. Inspired!
