I Did a Small Thing ...
May 29, 2012
and I did it with great love ...
love for making things,
for pretty fabric,
for sewing, (I really should hand quilt these blank corners ... but I know I never will ... )
quilting, (this is the back, another print from the same fabric collection I used for the dresdan plate)
embroidery, (omg do I ever love that hit of orange ... seriously ... who woulda thunk ... certainly not me!)
for my sweet friend Amy and ... and for YOU of course! Every single one of you who takes time to say hello, whether you comment or not ... 'cause I know you're there.
I hope you're inspired to make something too.
Thanks again Amy for designing this free pattern!
Loved.every.stitch ... yes, even the ones I had to take out ;)

Hi Kristyne,
I love, love, love, your wall hanging. You did such a beautiful job. You always do! This piece is a labor of love. In the corners quilt a simple heart. You above all people can do this. Then your beautiful project is perfectly finished. You did a wonderful job of hand quilting.
Take care,
Carole
Hi Kristyne - you don't have to reply - LOL! But, your blog has been so inspiring to me! From your Simplify project (which is when I started reading) to the Daisy Chain Sampler and beyond...it's all just soft, lovely goodness. Thank you! o:)
I'm with Andrea, your first commenter. How do you make those perfect corners? May I suggest a tutorial? Or a personal visit and lesson? Pretty please?
Hugs..............
You and Amy have definitely inspired me with this project. I just finished making a dresden plate quilt, so one more block will be fun!
Love it! The hand quilting gives it that perfect vintage look. I thought of you this weekend - I was in Nashville surrounded by mockingbirds, and it made me think of your funny owl story.
It turned out beautiful! Very pretty colors and stitching.
Beautifully done!
You have totally inspired me to make this lovely little wall hanging...even though I have a lot of work to do to perfect my embroidery {goal for this summer!} and have absolutely no idea where i would put said wall hanging...but that doesn't matter...I love it!! Thanks for sharing!
It is beautiful Kristyne! By the sounds of the comments made, I think you need to organize a class so all your readers can have a "love in"!!!! How about in Banff - in front of a fire, eating all things chocolate and sewing/ embroidering - lots!!! Keep up the beautiful work!
Your dresden plate turned out beautiful! What a lovely verse. Glad to hear that you enjoy our comments as much as we enjoy reading your blog!
Really lovely!
Your little quilt is so lovely! The colors are a perfect complement to the Mother Teresa quote. Do you have a favorite way to hang a quilt on the wall?

Big swoony sigh! It is beautiful! Thanks for all the great blog posts - blogging every day is time consuming, I'm sure! Please no pressure to respond - we love you!!!! And you write to us every day as it is! :O) And post great pictures and make us laugh and share fun patterns and info, etc. We are blessed by all that you share!! :O) BIG HUGS! :O)
Hi Krystine,
Your posts make my day, and today's Dresden Plate pretty is no exception, in fact sooo inspirational. I am off th Hong Kong for two weeks to visit my son and will be feeling bereft but will enjoy a day of catch up when I get back. Am taking embroidery with me as a quilt will be too bulky in my luggage and too hot to quilt there as its monsoon weather. Cheerios friend because that's how I feel you are.
Annx
Sorry for commenting this late but I'm a little ill! But your sweet little wallhanging is what I need to brighten up my day;-) And I'm glad that I'm not the only one with the conversation thing! Hildy
I drop in and read what you have done of late and am always very pleased that I do. This is an extremely stunning piece. I actually liked the pink and blue thread you first started to outline this piece with but I can see that it is just as lovely this way too if not more so... Congratulations on such a beautiful piece.
